Be sure to add water (1/2 cup to 1 cup) as needed, while simmering to keep the dip from drying. Serve warm with tortilla chips or on crackers.
SIMPLE CHEESY SALSA DIP 1 lb. Velveeta, cubed Mix cubed Velveeta and Simple Salsa in a microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until Velveeta is melted, stirring after 2-3 minutes. Serve warm with tortilla chips! For extra heat - add fresh, chopped jalepenos. Or beef it up - with a can of chili and beans! Yum-e!
TORTILLA BEEF BAKE 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in soup. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups tortilla chips in a greased shallow 2 1/2 qt. baking dish. Top with beef mixture, Simple Salsa and cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with remaining chips. Bake 3 minutes longer or until chips are lightly toasted. Serve with sour cream, lettuce, olives, tomatoes - as desired. Yield: 6 servings.
