Uses for Sauces and Salsas

Uses for Sweet Onion & Peppercorn Dressing

-Add 1-2 tbsp. to 1 lb hamburger to jazz up your meatballs or burgers

-Warm dressing and serve over asparagus, broccoli or spinach

-Use dressing as a sandwich spread for a gourmet flavor

-Makes a great dip for fresh veggies

-Instead of mayonnaise, add dressing to coleslaw, pasta or tuna salad

-Use as a dip for fried onion rings

-Marinade chicken, turkey or pheasant – grill until blackened, cut up and add to a tossed salad

-Use as dressing on your favorite lettuce salad

Uses for Sod Bustin' Sauce

-Use anywhere ketchup works

-Add a splash of Tabasco to turn it up a notch

-Warm over 3-4 lbs. little beef smokies and serve as an appetizer

-Create an original tasting "sloppy joe"

-Use as a topper on your favorite meatloaf

-Wonderful used with wild game

-Warm and pour on top a pork roast or appetizer meatballs

-Yummy warmed and baked with country style sausage or brats

Uses for Simple Salsa

-Add to your favorite condensed tomato soup for fresh flavor

-Pour over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers

-Use as a dressing on a taco salad for a healty alternative

-Mix 2 tbsp. with 1 lb. hamburger for a sassy taste

-Use as a "dunk" with your favorite pinwheels or tortilla wraps

-Top a baked potato

-Add 1/4 cup to a 2 lb. meatloaf before baking

-Use in any layered taco dip

Recipes for Sauces and Salsas

SIMMERIN' SOD BUSTIN' DIP

1 lb. seasoned & browned hamburger
4 oz. cream cheese
3-4 oz. Velveeta cheese
1 jar (18 oz) Sod Bustin' Sauce
1/2 cup to 1 cup water (as needed)

In a skillet, add cream cheese and Velveeta cheese to browned & seasoned hamburger.  Heat through until blended well.  Add a jar of Sod Bustin' Sauce.  Simmer on the stove-top pr om crock-pot.  Be sure to add water (1/2 cup to 1 cup) as needed, while simmering to keep the dip from drying.  Serve warm with tortilla chips or on crackers.

SIMPLE CHEESY SALSA DIP

1 lb. Velveeta, cubed
1 cup Simple Salsa

Mix cubed Velveeta and Simple Salsa in a microwavable bowl.  Microwave on high for 5 minutes or until Velveeta is melted, stirring after 2-3 minutes.  Serve warm with tortilla chips!  For extra heat - add fresh, chopped jalepenos.  Or beef it up - with a can of chili and beans!  Yum-e!

TORTILLA BEEF BAKE

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
2 1/2 cups crushed tortilla chips, divided
1 jar (18 oz) Simple Salsa
1 1/2 cups (6 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream, shredded lettuce, black olives, tomatoes

In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.  Stir in soup.  Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups tortilla chips in a greased shallow 2 1/2 qt. baking dish.  Top with beef mixture, Simple Salsa and cheese.  Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.  Sprinkle with remaining chips.  Bake 3 minutes longer or until chips are lightly toasted.  Serve with sour cream, lettuce, olives, tomatoes - as desired.  Yield: 6 servings.
